Tavio loves books! Sal and I try to read to him, but lately he is more interested in doing it himself. He likes looking at the pictures and turning the pages!
Last Sunday, we went to Julia's Christening. She is just so beautiful! It was nice to see so many of our friends. Tavio had a great time hanging with the other kids...until he decided it was time to go. He sure knows how to clear a room!!!
On Wednesday, The Weiss Family came for a visit. Tavio had a blast playing with Kyla and Devin. It was so exhausting keeping up with the kids, that I was only able to take a few pictures.
Tuesday night, our friends - Tony, Lorrie and their daughter Mia came over for dinner. Tavio loved playing with Mia...and it was so nice to just sit back and relax with great friends!
Every time Tavio does something new, I am reminded of just how lucky we are...and then I grab my camera! Yesterday, Tavio decided to climb the stairs! Here is a video.
24 hours later, the excitement has worn off for Sal and I. Tavio has not stopped climbing the stairs - and he can climb all the way to the top - very fast!! It is time for a gate!
Tavio was born May 2, 2008 at 27 weeks, weighing 1 lb, 15 oz and measuring 14 1/4 inches long. One year ago today, Tavio finally came home from the hospital. Today, Tavio is a healthy, energetic bundle of joy. He is Our Little Miracle! Sal and I are forever thankful to the NICU staff at the UCONN Medical Center. There are not enough words to express how much we appreciate everything they did for our little man. They are remarkable people, a special team of angels. Here is a photo book (made into a slide show) called "NICU Days ~ Tavio's Journey Home!" Sorry it is so small. I also posted it on facebook where you can view it larger.
